SAR-Initial Actions
NASAR Search and Rescue Initial Actions course is an 8-hour course that will introduce students to the necessary information and processes to perform during the beginning moments and phases of a search. It is designed for command, incident support, and management positions but is very informative for all levels.

This beginner level course is designed to introduce the students to clue awareness and basic mantracker skills for search and rescue incidents. These skills are necessary to aid in both identifying lost subject sign and disturbances in the environment so as best to direct resources and/or effect a location of the subject. This course is recommended for all ground search personnel.

Marine Sonar Technologies of Virginia will be here and instructing a two-day course on water search and basic sonar operations in locating drowned subjects. This course is recommended for any water search team, dive recovery team, search and rescue team, and agencies that have waterways within their jurisdiction. Attendees will have a one day classroom instruction followed by a second day of search and sonar instruction on the waters by use of their agency's watercraft.
