The SARCON 2024 is lining up to be a great first for the northern Midwest!
In 2023, we hosted our first event focused solely on SAR K9 skills in the mantrailing and human remains detection areas. 
The ultimate intent of a SAR conference is to bring together search and rescue members from across the nation. With that, we also seek to have experts in the field take part in training and guiding all attendees in their areas of expertise and to better strengthen the abilities and certifications of those that attend.
SAR is a vast topic profession and with this being our first full SAR conference we are working at the basics in order to allow for a starting point and broaden the challenges from those basic foundations.
Registration will open for this conference no later than April 1st, 2024.
The conference is FREE, except for the K9 training venues as there is a cost for the trainers and evaluators with the American Mantrailing, Police Work Dog Assocation (AMPWDA). We will post all registration information here on this tab. This tab is directly accessible by going to www.badlandssar.org/sarcon.
We will have full trainer, organization, certification, and background information available here as well.

(Friday, attendees will need to provide lunch as training allows)

sUAS Basic SAR Operations, Search Patterns, Use of Thermal

(Any attendees wishing to perform night ops for thermal will be facilitated)

There are also public campsites within the area as well.

Families are welcome to join our attendees on their trip! There is much to see and do in the area or they can observe the training. We will also have a need for training decoys for K9 and sUAS venues if any of them wish to participate!
